So I'm new to these fitness watches. But I've noticed in the short time (2 weeks) that the calorie count is way off. I've walked on a treadmill for 1 hour each time both times my watch says I've burnt 900 plus calories. I look at the treadmill and it says 300. Now I don't expect it to be dead on the money. But these variants are huge and very misleading for people trying to lose weight.

Hi there, @Gazzy1988. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for sharing the details about the issue with your new Versa 2. I understand how important is to you to get accurate calories burned from your watch.
While reading your post, I was wondering if you've checked that your personal information (weight or other profile settings such as height, age etc) has been entered correctly? If you haven't done so yet, please double check your personal information to see if your weight and height were properly set. To update your profile, see How do I change the units of measurement in my Fitbit account?
Fitbit devices combine your basal metabolic rate (BMR)—the rate at which you burn calories at rest to maintain vital body functions (including breathing, blood circulation, and heartbeat)—and your activity data to estimate your calories burned.
Your BMR is based on the physical data you entered in to your Fitbit account (height, weight, sex, and age) and accounts for at least half the calories you burn in a day.
Hope this helps.
