My Fitbit versa 2 is showing that I walked more than 5000 steps in and burned 4000 calories in my sleep. I tried resetting it but nothing works whenever I walk 2 step it shows 100 and its showing i burn more than 6000 calories per day

@SunsetRunner Thanks for checking your persona data.

In this case, I suggest setting up your Versa 2 as a new device. In order to do so, please follow the steps below:

  • Unpair your Versa 2 from your phone's Bluetooth and also make sure it's no longer connect to your Fitbit app.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off the Bluetooth.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth.
  • Set up your Versa 2 again.

Test your Fitbit device and see if the issue persists. If it does persist, may I know if the calories are the only details that your Versa 2 is tracking inaccurately?

Hi there, @SunsetRunner. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Versa 2 before posting here. I understand where your concern is coming from.

While reading your post, I was wondering if you've checked that your personal information (weight or other profile settings such as height, age etc) has been entered correctly? If you haven't done so yet, please double check your personal information to see if your weight and height were properly set. To update your profile, see How do I change the units of measurement in my Fitbit account?

Fitbit devices combine your basal metabolic rate (BMR)—the rate at which you burn calories at rest to maintain vital body functions (including breathing, blood circulation, and heartbeat)—and your activity data to estimate your calories burned.

Your BMR is based on the physical data you entered in to your Fitbit account (height, weight, sex, and age) and accounts for at least half the calories you burn in a day.

Hope this helps.
