Versa 2 is waking me up in the middle of the night

I have asked Alexa to remove all alarms notifications or reminders and she confirms none are set. Driving me crazy. Any solutions other than changing to Apple?

Hi @Myd55 - this is a bug with the iOS Fitbit App - the workaround is to set a sleep schedule in the watch Settings which starts before it. Also a phone do not disturb that starts before it.

Hello @Myd55 and welcome to the Community.  Your Versa 2 can set alarms using the voice assistant and the Alarms app.  The voice assistant doesn't control the Alarms app.  Please make sure you don't have an alarm with Smart Awake mysteriously set in your Alarms app.  There is more information in these two articles:

How do I manage alarms on my Fitbit device?

Why does Fitbit say Look Alive?

@Guy_   There is a known iOS bug where users get a bedtime reminder when none is set, but not for alarms.

Hi there, @Myd55. Welcome to the Community Forums. Thanks for trying to troubleshoot the issue with your Versa 2 before posting here. I understand how you must be feeling. @Guy_ Thanks for trying to help!

As @LZeeW has mentioned, the "Look Alive" message is part of your alarms and it seems like you have Smart Wake feature enable. Smart Wake attempts to find the best time to wake you starting 30 minutes before the alarm time you set. For more information, see How do I set an alarm on my Fitbit device?

As a friendly reminder, know that the alarms and timers you set with Alexa are separate from those you set in the Alarms app or Timer app. For more information, see How do I use a voice assistant on my Fitbit smartwatch?

First night with no alarm at 2am after factory reset. I am crossing my fingers this resolves the problem! Thx all!

Despite the factory reset, 2am Look Alive alarm is back after a week. I am so upset. Need my sleep. Will incinerate Versa 2 come daylight. I’ve lost enough time and sleep and given this wack job watch enough chances. Time to move on

Hi @Myd55  - is it possible that voice assistant or some other function on the phone is generating your wake up call?

Try asking what alarms you have set or any smart wake ones, and of course look in Alarms.

In the Alarm app you can set multiple alarms for the same time so making a new one for the same time won't create an error (if there is a hidden one already).

What you can try is making 8 fake alarms on the watch. If you succeed then there is most likely no hidden alarm.

Could it be coming from a clock face or other app you are using? Calendar?

If you have a sleep schedule on the watch and do not disturb schedule on the phone it may help but generally alarms may ignore them.

Thanks Guy - I had tried everything except the fake alarms but I’ve stowed away my Versa now. Took out my old Charge 2 and ordered an Apple Watch. Can’t chance another lost night of sleep and won’t waste anymore time on this. This bug is really cruel and insidious. Can wreak real havoc. Thanks for caring. MaryD.

@Myd55- Thanks Mary -

you could always try setting the watch to a 12 hour ahead time zone for the watch so that it should happen mid afternoon, otherwise it may niggle you as to what you or it or other thing had been done wrong. Or it could remain an unsolved mystery, a bit like Schubert's unfinished symphony!

And don't wear it at night, just in case the error is too smart to detect the time zone change!

Here's how - In the Fitbit App, click profile photo, App settings, disable automatic time zone and location and set it manually

@Myd55-  also have a look on the Alexa screen - you may have a small clock face top right corner, click on it and turn off the alarm, if it's enabled.
