I hate my versa 2, I've been with fitbit since 2013 and have had 3 watches with them. I've loved them all and my husband decided to upgrade my watch Christmas of 2019, bad idea. I've had nothing but problems with my Versa 2, it's the worst watch out of them all. I've done everything to get it to work, I even have to restart it, delete the app, shut off Bluetooth or hard reset at least once a week and now it isn't tracking my BPM during workouts correctly, it's off by a lot! I did a hard reset and it didn't fix it. I'm so disappointed in this watch and won't be recommending it go anyone. Also, my original versa 2 fried on the charger and died a year in and I had to send it in to get a new watch! Anyone else have the same problems?

Same situation. I've been cursing at my Versa 2 daily since mid-December 2020, though I've had problems with the heart rate monitoring before I had the Versa 2, with my Versa '1' (but only during exercise). Wrist location/position, band tightness, factory resetting... None of these "Fitbit Solutions" have worked. The heart rate is always registering about 20-30 bpm lower than it should be, especially as my actual heart rate goes up (during exercise), almost like the deficit is exponential, unless I shake my fitbit arm vigorously. There seems to be a connection with both heart rate and movement of the device itself, but as we know, one doesn't have to actually be moving a given limb for one's heart rate to be elevated.
A more worrying thought is that the Fitbit algorithm for calculating calorie expenditure has been corrected and my last 5 years of tracking has been way too high!

You’re not alone, as there are any number of threads on the HR topic alone.
Now, don’t get me wrong, it’s on your wrist and it’s not truly designed to be a hyper-accurate HR monitor, but the fluctuations — or lack thereof — are anywhere from maddening to possibly dangerous.
During portions of my workout yesterday I did very high intensity sprint work, then did a 10-second manual pulse reading on three separate occasions.
My HR was in the 155-160 BPM range as measured manually; looking immediately at my Versa, it read 79, 80 and 79 respectively.
So....yeah. Not happy.

I should clarify: the massively incorrect HR readings began right after this latest update for me.

Complete waste of money, I'll be switching to a Samsung active 2 watch from the reviews from my friends. This is a very common problem with versa 2.
Highly disappointed.

Same problem with grossly inaccurate heart rate since the latest update. Fortunately I still have my Versa 1 which works fine. I plan to ignore the update prompts until I buy my first Garmin.
