I have been a fitbit user since 2015 and I recently purchased a new Versa 2 because my old, GREAT, Versa died. I didn't want to purchase another fitbit because they have added Amazon's Alexa and I didn't want that feature on my device. I tried another brand, but finally gave in and purchased another Versa. This Versa keeps dropping bluetooth. The watch itself works just fine with tracking exercise, etc., but my phone does not see the watch via bluetooth. I have uninstalled the watch from my fitbit account and reinstalled it which works for a few hours but then it can't connect again. I am not going to try pairing it for the 5th time and was hoping someone else was having the same issue. Any suggestions out there? Thanks.

My older Versa 2 has been doing the same thing for the past 3 days. I saw where there was an app update three days ago as well. Wondering if this is the cause??

My Versa 2 won't connect with my Android via Bluetooth. My phone doesn't seem to recognize the Fitbit app. I have had this problem since receiving a replacement watch after my 8-month-old Versa 2 died while I was swimming.

You're right. The update added some feature where your phone now tracks your and of you don't click accept the phone won't detect the watch via Bluetooth. I remember when your phone didn't track you, the watch did.

I'm having the same or similar issue with my Iphone X and Versa 2. It started earlier this week. Every time I open the Fitbit App, I receive a notice that connection to my Versa 2 has been lost. I'm instructed to go to my Bluetooth settings for the Versa 2, forget the device and then allow the app to pair again. Like Hornet 81, I think it stems from an update to the app. Hoping they fix this soon - this is getting really old, really fast.

I am having exactly the same problem!!! Thank god I looked on this community page to find out I’m not alone. My Versa 2 watch I’ve had for years, just recently it ran out of battery life while on my wrist so put it to charge, checked it after it hit 100%, and good grief it reset everything. The time was 2 and a half hours behind. Frustrated!!!!! Been all day trying to fix it via the app connecting and syncing to my watch and it errors everytime after I put the 4 digit code sent to the watch… I tried restarting the watch, restarted my phone, logged in and out of app, removed watch from my account to put again, many many times and nothing. Keeps kicking me off and error-ing refusing to connect…. now I am stuck with my Versa 2 watch 2 and half hours time behind the real time!!! Anyone facing this headache too? Please please fix this.

Mine just did the same immediately after I installed an update. Fit says its a coincidence.

I've contacted fitbit about this as they day the fault is a coincidence and not caused by an update . Alot of people are having the same issue

My versa lite is doing the same. It happened last year as well when they did an update to the unit . I kept trying to restart my versa for over a month and finally it reconnected with my Bluetooth. It has been working fine till this new update. Guess I’ll have to do the same this year. I also did a chat with service yesterday and they were no help. Sent me a coupon for another one 😡.
I also had an update to my iPhone - maybe it is that as well.

Exact same problem for me over the last week or so. Only had it about 2 months. It’s driving me insane!

Same problem. Was working great. Now constantly asking to connect over and over and over. ☹️

well at least I know I’m not going crazy! I just figured it was something I did – ha ha! It is currently 45 minutes behind the real time. Was happening the other day and I turned off Bluetooth and turned it back on and synced it and it fixed it but now it’s falling behind again. Thanks for your contribution!

I deleted the app (iPhone) and reinstalled
forgot my Fitbit on Bluetooth settings
When I logged into the new app I removed the versa device and then added it back as a new device.
it was a pain in the 🍑 but it appears to have worked which is fantastic because I was getting upset enough to consider giving up on my Fitbit and I really like it.

My Versa2 has been doing that forever.
it actually shows as being connected to my Bluetooth on my iPhone, so it’s not clear whether this is a Fitbit or Apple issue.
I usually need to turn Bluetooth Off/On on my IPhone and/or just press the button on the versa2 for 10+ seconds to restart. That helps for a bit but it eventually looses the ability to receive alerts again.

I’ve finally been successful.
After I removed my Versa from the app, deleted app, turned Bluetooth on and off, restarted phone, I then couldn’t get the Versa to pair with the app at all.
So I repeated the same process again but this time also restarted my Versa and so far seems to have sorted it!
