Versa 2 keeps saying download app

Hi everyone,

I just bought my first Fitbit today, a Versa 2. I turned it on right out of the box and it said to download to Fitbit app. Easy enough, downloaded it on my new pixel 4 and set up and verified my account and email. I went to pair my phone and Fitbit and nothing seems to be happening? My phone says to try turning it on and plug it in, it is almost full charge and the Fitbit just keeps saying to download the app.

I appreciate any help with this!

Hi @Cmack91. Welcome to the Community Forums.

Thanks for sharing that you have the Versa 2 and the steps tried on your own. Because your watch hasn't completed the set up process, it'll continue showing the initial screen with the fitbit.com/setup message. That being said, I'd recommend to try the following steps:

  1. Turn off the Bluetooth connections that aren't in use.
  2. Enable the Bluetooth and the location services just on your phone.
  3. On your phone's settings and tap on Apps > Fitbit > Storage > Force Stop.
  4. Restart your watch.
  5. Open the Fitbit app, tap your profile icon > Set Up a Device and follow the onscreen instructions.
  6. Once your Versa 2 is connected to WiFi, proceed with the firmware update and wait until it's done.

I'll be around, keep me posted.
