Versa 2 measures unnecessary steps during other activities

Hello,

My Fitbit Versa 2 watch measures unnecessary steps during other activities (e.g. cycling).

What's more, my watch automatically detects this activity as cycling (bike) and still counts down unnecessary steps I haven't performed.

During 2-3 hours of cycling the watch counts about 10 000 steps.

Is there any update available to prevent such undesirable effects?

Currently no @iholowacz and this is a hot topic, Currently the tracker is counting the bumps on the road traveled.

Some users want all of these steps removed during cycling while others want cycling converted properly to steps. However nobody knows what a proper conversion would be, some want the conversion based on calories burnt, while others want steps counted as if they walked the distance.

We do have a couple of suggestions.

Convert Bike Distance (or Spinning) into Steps
