Versa 2 missing first 2 hours of sleep!

I have only had my versa 2 for a few days and last night was the 3rd night of using it to track sleep. However this morning it was missing the first 2 hours of my sleep?? Upon reading the forum to address the problem it appears that this seems to be a common issue. Please fix the glitch Fitbit, this is a $300+ device!

@ChookMum Welcome to the Community. Sorry for the delayed reply.

Thanks for the details mentioned and the research done prior to posting. Fitbit estimates your sleep stages using a combination of your movement and heart-rate patterns. When you haven’t moved for about an hour, your tracker or watch assumes that you’re asleep. Additional data—such as the length of time your movements are indicative of sleep behavior (such as rolling over, etc.)—help confirm that you’re asleep.

Also, please into consideration the following:

  • If you slept in a position that prevented your device from getting a consistent heart-rate reading or wore it too loosely. For best results, wear your device higher on your wrist (about 2-3 finger widths above your wrist bone). The band should feel secure but not too tight.
  • Make sure your device’s battery isn't critically low.

I'll be around if you have any additional questions.
