Versa 2 music controls not working

Hello all, I have a Fitbit versa 2 which has music controls that only work under the condition that I don't have my earbuds connected. Basically if I don't have my earbuds connected and go to music controls, they work but it won't let my earbuds connect. On the other side if I have my earbuds connected and go to music controls, it shows the green phone indicating my watch is connected to my phone via Bluetooth but I can't actually control anything, meaning it doesn't show pause/play, volume etc. 

I've tried everything and this is one of the main features I use on my watch. I would appreciate some help, thank you.

Hi @Basboysd - try restarting the watch and the phone, it could be some sort of syncing issue with the new V4 Fitbit App, even though it appears connected, if it was working previously.

I tried this and it still doesn't work. Although I've made a discovery when I have versa (classic) connected and my earbuds too and I got into my earbuds setting in Bluetooth then turn off media audio it allows me to control from my Fitbit watch but has the audio playing out of my speakers.
