Versa 2 music volume controls not working

I've got music loaded on my Versa 2 and connected ear buds. 

The volume is really loud. 

Navigating to the Music controls on the Versa 2 I see the "+" and "-". But the controls don't make any change with the ear buds. 

I've reparied and reset both the Versa 2 and the ear buds with no change. 

Any ideas? Will the Versa 2 volume controls just not work? 

In searching this forum I see others with the problem but no solution?

I have a less than ideal workaround, but it brought the volume down to a listenable level. Maybe it will work for you too.

Tap the volume button up or down several times, then press the three white dots in the bottom left corner. 

Switch the source to the phone, then immediately switch back to the watch, then tap to reconnect the earbuds.

Press the button on the left to go back to the song, then press play.

I had to do this several times to adjust to where I wanted. 

This is obviously not how the volume is supposed to work so hopefully they'll fix it soon.

this worked for me thanks so much I was trouble shooting for hours and didn't get anything to change but did your way and it worked.

Great! I'm glad it worked! It's a little cumbersome, but at least I'll still have my hearing in a year.
