Versa 2 no longer connecting to my phone's Bluetooth

Hi,

Versa 2 no longer syncing to app in iPhone, ALL trouble shooting steps followed multiple times, from resetting Fitbit, Bluetooth, updated app.  Currently trying last option of re-pairing between Fitbit & phone, no success phone is not recognising the Fitbit.

Fitbit still works, it's the connection between the devices that isn't.

Even tried old phone, upgraded phone 2 weeks ago, no issues until now.

Thanks in advance.

Hi there, @Lilah78 @Noname123123. It's nice to see you around the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for bringing this to my attention and for the troubleshooting steps you've tried. I'm sorry to hear that your Versa 2 devices are still not connecting to the Fitbit app. I understand your concerns, I will do my best to help you with this!

To better assist you, please confirm you've tried all the steps provided below in the order listed:

  • Unpair your Fitbit device from your phone's Bluetooth and Fitbit app.
  • Unpair other Bluetooth devices that you may also have paired to your phone's Bluetooth settings.
  • Force quit the Fitbit app.
  • Turn off other Bluetooth connections when not in use. This can help to prevent connectivity issues or Bluetooth interference.
  • Shut off your phone and turn it on after 1-2 minutes.
  • Turn on the Bluetooth on your phone.
  • Plug it into the charging cable and open the Fitbit app.
  • Set up your Fitbit device.
  • If there is no connection, restart your Fitbit device.
  • Once your Fitbit device is paired and syncing, please proceed to set up your other Bluetooth devices to your phone again.

With the steps above, what I want you to do is to pair your Versa 2 first to your phone's Bluetooth settings before any other Bluetooth device is connected to your phone.

My Fitbit Versa 2 will ONLY come on &  the start up “Download Fitbit app, which I have done, uninstalled & cleared all data. I haven’t used it for 4 years. I have unpaired & repaired. Frustrated.
My iPhone XR says it’s synced but the Fitbit won’t connect like it should.  I wish it had a “reset button”  I

Hi there, @_creekermo. It's nice to see you around the Fitbit Community Forums. Thanks for your time in troubleshooting the issue with your Fitbit device. I will do my best to help you with this.

As our last resort, I'd recommend performing a factory reset on your Versa 2. Important: Take into consideration that a factory reset deletes any stored data, which includes all data that hasn't synced to your Fitbit account and your applications, alarms, etc. This shouldn't affect your device as you have mentioned that you stopped using it for over 4 years.

With the above being said, please sync your Versa 2 and then, proceed with the steps below in the order listed:

  1. Hold the back button for about 8 seconds.
  2. When the Fitbit logo disappears:
    1. Release the button briefly (for less than 2 seconds).
    2. Hold the button again until you feel a second, longer vibration, which indicates you initiated the factory reset.

You can follow the steps to set up the device after that: How do I set up my Fitbit device?
