Versa 2 no longer showing walk maps since recent update.

I started using my new versa 2 about a month ago, finally realized it could map my route and tell me the distance.  It was really helping my motivation.  I went ahead with the recent upgrade last week and since then it is tracking my mileage but no longer showing the map when I look at my activities in the app.  It is still showing the maps from last week but nothing new.

@eikookie66 Welcome! It's great to see you around! Sorry for the delay in my reply.

 

Let me help you with your missing GPS data. For this you will need to use your phone as the Versa 2 doesn't have a GPS chip. This feature is called Connected GPS and you can find instructions to make it work here. If you wish you can refresh the link between your phone and your Versa 2 by doing the following:

 

  1. Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  2. Restart your phone and restart your device
  3. Check that no battery saving app/feature on your phone is affecting your Fitbit app.
  4. Also, if you are using an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.

It looks like it started to work again when I updated the setting to allow location all the time instead of when just using the app.  Thanks
