Versa 2 not consistently syncing with Samsung Galaxy A50

I got a fitbit Versa 2 as a gift, I figured it was like any app and would be simple to hook upto my phone, boy was I wrong. I guess only a very little amount of phones can be used with fitbit. I had a Blu G8 phone, I wanted to use the Versa 2 so bad, my co-worker had a charge 2 and a Samsung Galaxy A50 she said she has no issues and I connected my Versa2 to her phone and it paired instantly. I was sick of my Blu phone so I went and spend $300 at Best Buy on the Galaxy A50 and while I was there I picked up a Aira scale too for $50. I came home and I can't even get the scale to send info to my phone about my weight. The Versa2 has a 30% success rate on staying synced to my phone when its 2 feet away all day.

I want to know, how often do they actually add a new phone to their list, I know the support team will come in here give a BS statement about how they're constantly updating and testing like I've seen on every other thread about this.

Did I waste $500? So far customer support has been a 0/5 for me when I talked to them, I'm ready to send the watch and scale back and just get a samsung watch or garmin watch, I've heard a lot better reviews on them and better customer support.

@ShaneN30 Welcome! It's great to see you around! Sorry for the delay in my reply.

Let me help you with your Versa 2 not syncing with your phone. Your phone doesn't show as compatible but that doesn’t mean it won’t work it just means that it hasn’t been tested by our team. You can try the following:

  • Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  • Restart your phone and restart your device
  • Check that no battery saving app/feature on your phone is affecting your Fitbit app.
  • Also, if you are using an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.
  • You can find troubleshooting instructions here.

I don't have a timeframe or knowledge about possible additions to the list but you can check it periodically.

Let me know how it goes.
