Versa 2 not counting stairs accurately

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I noticed my stair count was low, so started closely tracking it. I went up and down the stairs 23 times and got credit for 12. I restarted the FitBit, hoping it would improve, but it hasn't. I'm aware of how stairs/elevation is counted, so I don't need the article explaining it. Advice?

Hi @KimR64, it's great to see you in our Fitbit Community. I'd like to follow up and help you with your Versa 2 since it hasn't tracked stairs and floors accurately. I totally understand how you feel about this and I appreciate the time spent trying to get this issue resolved before contacting our forums.

I'd like you to try a factory reset. To do so on your device, follow the steps below:

  1. Hold the back button for about 8 seconds.
  2. When the Fitbit logo disappears:
  • Release the button briefly (for less than 2 seconds).
  • Hold the button again until they feel a second, longer vibration, which indicates they initiated the factory reset.

After this, try setting up your watch from scratch. Finally, monitor your Versa 2 and see if it tracks the floors climbed accurately.

Keep me posted on the outcome.
