New versa 2 not charging even though when plugged in it says charging. Battery level keeps decreasing even when plugged in for 2 or more hours.

Hi Ive tried a couple of plug sockets. It says its charging but when I go back some time later the battery level has either stayed the same or decreased. I have cleaned it and checked it and did a reset on the fitbit Versa 2 itself. Only had it a week. It was a replacement for my original one which wouldn't sync at all, but this is still the original charger. Im not sure if any charging has been successful with this new fitbit this last week and the battery is now only 16%.
