Hi @Whazzman, welcome to the Community Forums.
Thanks for your post. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know in which way is your Versa 2 not working after updating the firmware version? Please share as many details you can so we can move on.
Looking forward to your reply.

I have the same problem; it will no longer sync with the app. I’ve restarted the watch and phone, which usually helps, but it still will not sync. I turned Bluetooth on and off, and it still doesn’t work. I then forgot the versa2 connection in my Bluetooth settings, and now the Versa refuses to reconnect with my phone.
This happened to me on Tuesday 26 Jan 21 as well.
You’re probably going to suggest a factory reset, correct?

@MizarkMost definitely not.
There's a bug in the last Fitbit App update for Android phones which stops phones syncing, Hopefully they will issue a fix soon. In the meantime if your watch works it will keep data for about a week and best to not make any changes till its fixed.

I suspect the bug is really in the Versa. I say this because I turned off Bluetooth on my phone and tried my Windows 10 machine. It will not pair any longer. This started very close to the time of the Versa update. Note: I have a Versa "original". I am trying to get this comment to the dev team at Fitbit but not sure how to go directly to them.

I have a Versa "original" not the Versa 2 but maybe this info will help. My Versa stopped syncing about the same time as the last Versa update. I also have the new Android App v3.37. I'm thinking the issue may actually be in the smartwatch. I shut off my phone and turned on Bluetooth on my Windows 10 machine. The Windows UWP app is no longer able to sync with the Versa. I have tried all the "quick" fixes like restarting the Versa, etc. Then I took the drastic measure of resetting my Versa to factory and removing it from the account. I did a "set up device" on the Android app. All was well until it did the update to the Versa. At that point the app stayed in "installing" mode for a couple of hours and neither app (Android or Windows 10) is able to connect to the Versa. Hope this can help the dev team debug the issue.

Factory rest didn't help me fix the problem only made me lose all my info.

Good afternoon Guy. I just updated the app and the phone and watch instantly connected and everything sync'd.
Much appreciated!

Same thing here. Took me 2 hours of trying to get the fitbit and app to reconnect. Now I need to reboot my fitbit multiple times a day in order to sync. Since the "update" Versa 2 no longer auto tracks my walks. I need to take my phone along and use GPS in order for my V2 to track the walk. Today, it cut off the tracking before the end of the we walk though it did count the time correctly.
Fitbit seems to be making life miserable for users in order to force us to upgrade to a newer model. I'm more likely to upgrade to a newer brand! I'm getting tired of having to buy a new fitbit because it updated me into not working when it was working really well beforehand! Why, Fitbit?

Fitbit doesn't seem to care. Still same problems with this update that people were experiencing in Jan. ::sigh::

@move2improve The Versa 2 doesn't have onboard GPS. A phone was always needed to track walks.

Hi Ricardo. I hope you can help me. I have the versa 2. I did the firmware update yesterday. (If you let me know how to tell you what version, I will happily do so)
Can you help?
