Versa 2 not receiving notifications with Huawei P30 Lite

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have a new Fitbit Versa 2 which have worked fine with my Huawei P30 Lite for the first 4 days of use and then stopped receiving notifications. It is connected, I have already tried to restart Fitbit and Phone, to switch the Bluetooth off and on and I have already checked the How do I get notifications from my phone on my Fitbit device? page with no use. It does not receive notifications. I have tried the test phone call and it works but notification don't.

The Fitbit app acknowledges a problem with notifications and suggest to restart the phone, which I did (twice) and it still show the same message and the notifications still don't work.

If it keeps not showing notifications I will have to return it since it is no use to me this way.

Hi @Flaviav79, welcome to the Community Forums.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention and for trying some troubleshooting steps before posting over here, I understand how frustrating this matter can be for you. Since you already tried the troubleshooting steps from the help article that was specified in your post, I recommend you to check and try the ones that are listed on: What should I know about using the Fitbit app on my Android phone? and let me know if the issue persists.

I'll be around if further assistance is needed.

Hi, thanks for your reply.
I will try the suggestions at the link you provided.
But Huawei P30 Lite IS compatible with Fitbit. I checked before buying it.
It is stated at the following link
https://help.fitbit.com/articles/it/Help_article/2315.htm (see attached
screenshot) and furthermore it is NOT among the incompatible ones listed at
this link: https://www.fitbit.com/global/uk/technology/compatible-devices (see
attached screenshot).
I would not have bought it otherwise.

In any case I find it very unprofessional that
1. a smartwatch major brand is not compatible with smartphone major brands
2. Fitbit states compatibility with specific products and it is not true.
So basically they have not even tried or are just lying?

I am very disappointed by Fitbit. A smartwatch is not just a fitness
tracker. If notifications do not work as promised Fitbit should upgrade the
product instead of shifting its faults on other devices (after stating they
DO work).

You're welcome @Flaviav79, your reply is also appreciated.

I'd like to begin this post by apologizing with you for the mistake made on my previous post, the information I shared was about the Huawei P20 Lite and not the P30 one. Actually, I'm using the same phone as yours but with a Fitbit Ionic with no trouble at all. Let me share with you that some mobile devices/tablets are not compatible with our products and services because of the Android/iOS version they're running and because of some other software specifications, however, since your phone does met the requirements to properly operate with your Versa 2, please try the troubleshooting steps that were shared on my previous post and let me know if the issue persists.

By the way, I'd like to let you know that some information of my previous post will be deleted to avoid confusion with other users that are participating in our Community Forums, your understanding and patience are appreciated.

I'll be waiting for your reply.
