I have a Versa 2 and an iPhone X and cannot seem to get my text messages to my watch. All the settings are on to receive notifications on phone & watch. I had no issue with this and the blaze. Help please:)

I've tried all of the suggestions on just about every post. It's hit and miss. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't (text notification) and then I have to go through the whole process again. It's very frustrating. I've gone back to wearing my Blaze because it has no issues receiving the text notifications. In fact I never had any issues with my Blaze. I was just wanting to upgrade. I have an iPhone also. Sure hope Fitbit fixes this glitch soon

It's weird. One time it works and than it doesn't. I don't get it anymore

Here's the thing, I don't want my iphone to show previews when it is locked. That wasn't an issue with my Blaze. I could see the messages on my Blaze even if my iphone was set to not show previews. But at this point I'd just be happy if my Versa showed any messages without me having to trouble shoot multiple times a day. Very frustrating.

I have had the same issue. It was just resolved after contacting the customer chat for help. I have an iPhone 11 Pro Max.
Please try the following settings below:
Click Settings on your iPhone
1. Select Notifications.
3. Scroll down and select Messages
4. Select Show Previews and (temporarily) choose “Always” then exit out."
5. After that, send yourself or have someone send you a test text message. If your Fitbit then shows the text notification, go back into Show Previews and change it back to “When Unlocked Default”

I have mine set to never show preview, and doing that I do not get any notifications of the text. But if I change it to preview when locked I get it and the preview. I don’t want a preview at all 😞 I don’t want it on my phone..

I tried this and my phone already had all of this set. Any other suggestions? I have an iPhone XR

ok, so you have to go into your iPhone settings under Notifications/Messages, under Options/Show Previews - select When Unlocked. Now my text messages show up on my Versa 2 🙂

Can you advise what phone you have? Information without the phone type isn't helpful. Thanks.

I just received as a gift a FitBit Versa2 for Christmas (2019). I have an Apple iPhone 7plus, updated to iOS 13.3, and the Fitbit app is up to date. My phone and Versa 2 are synced, connected via Bluetooth, and all things seem to be working except my Versa 2 does not receive any calls, texts, or updates from my phone. I have restarted both devices after each attempt at fixing the problem listed in this thread. My notifications are set to always under the iPhone setting, in the Fitbit app the notifications have been toggled on/off to the correct setting to receive the notifications. I have re-paired and restarted both. Still nothing. What am I missing?

I am having the same issue as everyone else on this forum. Must admit it is a little frustrating. I have done all the steps advised and yet nothing seems to work. I also have a Iphone X.
