I have a Versa 2 and an iPhone X and cannot seem to get my text messages to my watch. All the settings are on to receive notifications on phone & watch. I had no issue with this and the blaze. Help please:)

Same. They really need to find a resolution to this issue.

Same here. Did you get it fixed?

I have a Samsung galaxy S10+, and the way I was able to get my text notifications to work was by changing the default messaging app on my phone and within the fitbit app and then switching back. I use the Google Messages app, and first switched to Textra as the default app (which coincidentally also worked and received notifications) but then switched back to Google Messages and notifications are working now. Not sure why this works or what "jogged" the synchronization between devices but now it is working fine for me. Hopefully this can work for others.

I have the Galaxy S10 on the Verizon network. I have found that only the default Samsung messaging app doesn't send notifications to the Fitbit (I have tried switching back and forth, but it still doesn't work). Google Messaging and Verizon Messaging both work with the Fitbit, so for now, as long as I have a messaging app that sends texts to the Fitbit, I'm good!

I’m having the same problem! Did you get a resolution?

I wasn't getting just the texts and realized this is because I have the iPhone set to hide the content of my texts. I don't want people in meetings to see what my GF writes to me. Also, my kid doesn't need to see what others are texting me. The Apple watch would still show you on the content because the watch doesn't show anything until you look at it. This isn't the case with the Versa2 and it's disappointing. This is why I switched. I needed better battery and notifications. So now I can't get the texts on the watch at all unless I let the world see anything that appears on my iPhone home screen. Are there any plans to change this?

I do not work for Fitbit. (Note to Fitbit--it is very hard to follow the train of conversations on this message board, because you can't distinguish messages that are a response to a previous message from a new post.)

I've gone from a Charge 3 to Versa 2 Special Edition. When I first set it up, the text messages came through. Now I get phone calls and everything but text messages. I have restarted it. Nothing is different. All Notifications are on that I want on. I keep getting a red message where you make it syncs all the time. It says in RED.... Notification service not running. A phone restart is required to re-enable notifications on your tracker....... Well I've done this over and over and the notice is still there. What is wrong?

Sorry, but I don't have a solution for this. I haven't ever seen that message. You might want to call Fitbit about it.

Returning tomorrow. Over this issue.
Shame. This thread shouldn't be marked as fixed.

I found the answer! You have to have text previews turned on! I have an iPhone XS. .. Setting>Notifications>Messages> TURN MESSAGE PREVIEW TO ALWAYS (default)
It took me 3 weeks and endless hours on the phone with FitBit doing resets and factory resets and uninstalling the app and reinstalling. The setting were all good but this was never given as a suggestion.... My 12 year old figured it out!

Yea not even an option.
Good try though. Already back on box and being returned in 5 hours.
This is pretty sad Fitbit.

Yeah, that was answered in this thread a while back. The question is how can we get them to update the watch so this isn't the case? I still want private notifications on the phone while simultaneously being able to view on the watch. The Apple Watch can do this with no issue.

There's still no solution for not receiving messages man. I'm on an Android pixel 3, and there is no way for the phone to just continually pushing notifications it just stops and needs a refresh.
That's a Fitbit issue. Not a phone issue.
