I have a Versa 2 and an iPhone X and cannot seem to get my text messages to my watch. All the settings are on to receive notifications on phone & watch. I had no issue with this and the blaze. Help please:)

Samsung & Apple update their phones and it breaks syncing to the Fitbit device. I wouldn't consider this Fitbit's fault. Because Samsung and Apple did not include Fitbit in their plans and give them time to implement an update now Fitbit has to play catch up. Give them a break people. This isn't their fault its Samsung and Apple. They will get the problem fixed but it will take time to troubleshoot what Samsung and Apple changed without telling Fitbit. By the way my OnePlus 7 Pro works great with my Versa 2, no issues at all but OnePlus didn't update their phone without including Fitbit in their plans.

Hi

How did you revert back to the old messages? If that will fix my versa 2, will gladly revert back.

Thank you

First you need to find messages+ in your apps or go to default apps and
select that instead of messages app. Once you do that, go to fitbit app
and make sure notifications for texts go to messages+ app (your new
default). I had to add the icon to my phone home screen and that alone was
tough, but did it.

I have used Verizon's Messages + for a long time. If you go in to the Settings and only have the orange message app. You can download Verizon's Messages + from the Google Play Store. When you download it, it will just ask you if you want to change to it. It will move all your texts to this one. It has a red pic. Now I've had this as my messager for years. But Fitbit are still working on text messages going to the Versa 2. Mine just started today and I've had the watch right before Xmas. It was very frustrating. But had the same bugs with my Alta HR & Charge 3. Everyone hurries up and puts new items out for the holiday's and don't realize there are bugs until we complain about them. So far I've seen mostly text message problems the most.

I also today had a problem with phone syncing with Fitbit. I contacted
support and they said Jan 20 there was an update to the app. So they had
me make sure Fitbit had been updated and then shut down watch and restart.
Syncing is ok for now. I am still using the Facebook app Message for text
and that is working for me.

I changed my text messaging to Google messaging and now get texts on my phone.  Since I am with Sprint I do not have the Verizon Messaging+ or maybe I have a version of it.  I do agree with another customer it sucks because not I miss out on my bitmoji's when texting with my friends.

In the apps there should be Message + if you have Verizon. If not download it from the Google Play Store. I put this in years ago. But after you download it. It will ask you about if you want to change Messages. Say yes and it will transfer them to Message +. The icon is red. But this only just started picking them up today and I've had the watch since right before the holidays. Fitbit told me just be patient as they were working on it. Guess they finally got to my phone. But they might not be to your phone yet. It's like all computerized things. They put them out and can't really know if there is a bug until people complain. Remember to go in your Fitbit app and make sure it is set for the new message app for Notifications.

I bought my versa 2 on 12/10/19.... on  1/10/2020... text alerts STOPPED! I upgraded to the 2 for the ability to use alexa to reply. Well... how am I going to reply... when I'm not recieving them? I contacted customer service 1/10/2020. Said it was being worked on. Received several emails afterwards asking me to trouble shoot. I did. Made absolutely no difference! Here we are.. almost 2 weeks later... NO RESOLUTION! WHAT IS GOING ON!?!?

Sincerely....

Very disappointed and upset long time user of Fitbit products....

It's really annoying! Do they keep telling you... "we are diligently
working to fix this issue. We appreciate your patience in this matter."
We have no other option but to appear patient. Because there is nothing
else WE... . as fitbit owners.... can do... but wait!

Yes ma'am same thing but I have looked for the ceo and the people under him
and wrote them an email because this is really ridiculous and its been
people having this issue since the watch came out last year

Any luck? Or did you write them recently and still waiting for a reply?

We had the same problem. It is because the sleep mode is on.

Turn sleep mode off, this also allows the screen wake to work. Texts will now come through.

Just remember to turn sleep mode on when you go to bed.

This is in reference to the sleep mode that you just brought up.
Yesterday I was having issues with my phone not syncing with my watch and
it was saying that the device was not found.
I contacted Fitbit customer service and he told me to make sure that the
app has been updated and then he told me to restart my watch and that
worked for me. I have my watch set to go to sleep at 11 p.m. and wake up
at 7 a.m. using the customize feature on the watch. So this morning when I
got up again my watch would not connect to my phone and did not find the
device so I had to go through the process of shutting down my watch again
in order for it to sync.
The sleep mode is off for the remainder of the day except during those
sleep hours. Sounds like another problem with Fitbit that the phone loses
the connection overnight while in sleep mode and does not turn on again per
the schedule that has been set up.

I guess my messages+ must be the old one. I've had it forever. Didn't know they had a new one.

They have known it doesn't offer services promised for many months. It is fraud to make claims that aren't true and expect the customer to pay anyway
