Versa 2 not receiving text messages

I have a Versa 2 and an iPhone X and cannot seem to get my text messages to my watch. All the settings are on to receive notifications on phone & watch. I had no issue with this and the blaze. Help please:)

My versa two is still not sending me text notifications! I get all the other ones just never text message WHY???

I ended up going back to my Charge 2 and returning the Versa 2. I only
purchased the Versa 2 because the commercials indicated you could send a
text but it doesn't tell you that feature doesn't work with an iphone

Have you tried emailing Fitbit directly? They worked with me and got my Android up and working. Try them. https://contact.fitbit.com

I did and they told me that feature is not compatible with the iPhone so I returned it and just kept my charge 2.

They should have put it on the compatible list. But some on here have  gotten it to work on their IPhone. So sorry you had to return it. It's such a nice watch. I love it. My phone they said wasn't on the list. But it works.

I tried all the suggestions and it’s still not getting text messages! I unpaired and repaired the devices and now there is no blue  i next to the Fitbit under blue tooth either. Any other suggestions or is this something that won’t be resolved until apple fixes it?

I do not have an IPhone. My suggestion to you would be to email Fitbit support directly. They can see when you sync and can tell what you may need to do. Here's the address... https://contact.fitbit.com

After trying everything that was suggested and still was not able to get text messages on my Versa, went to the Apple website and found a fix.

go to Settings>Notifications>Fitbit and change your Options for Show Previews to Always. As soon as I did this, I started getting texts on my Fitbit again.  Just in time as I was ready to order an iwatch.

Where can one raise this defect? Showing preview or not has nothing to do with showing the notification. I get notifications but do not wish to see content there on my phone. It shall not affect my fitbit though.

I have no clue what you need. If your messages or calls are showing up on your watch then the notifications are working. Sounds like you have an IPHONE  I have an ANDROID. If you still have a problem I suggest you email fitbit support directly.  supportt@fitbit.com

Thank you for the suggestion, It did not work for me! I have tried so many things, I am beyond frustrated by this. I would never has sold my fitbit charge if i knew this didn't get text messages, thought i was upgrading lol. Nope Im not happy with this at all.  I cannot believe fitbit hasnt done more to fix this for its users.

Just to be clear: I have an iPhone 11 and a Fitbit Versa 2.  Text messages are not coming through.  I've tried (what feels like) everything!  Calendar and calls are coming through, it's just text messages that don't seem to work.  Any more ideas?
