I have a Versa 2 and an iPhone X and cannot seem to get my text messages to my watch. All the settings are on to receive notifications on phone & watch. I had no issue with this and the blaze. Help please:)

I looked on their website and went to "support" - you can either have a
text chat or (in my case) I phoned an agent and got my problem solved! I
needed to go through my Iphone's notifications setting, THEN to my messages
setting. That solved it!

Finally got this fixed, but not the way I like it.  I tried everything - for months!  I gave up and then I tried one last thing.  For my iPhone I went to Notifications for the Messages app and changed it to Show Previews Always.  I hate this because it shows on my phone too - but as soon as I changed that setting the Versa2 started getting text messages.  Fixed and not fixed.  Fitbit should REALLY fit it.

I’m having the same exact issue. I receive all notifications except for text messages. I’ve tried all troubleshooting methods with no success.

I have an 11pro and I just purchased the versa 2 and I wasn’t getting any text messages but I would phone calls. Took me a while to figure out but I went into notifications went to phone settings and noticed that my banner style was set to temporary on my messages but persistent on my phone. I switched my messages to persistent and Immediately got my messages 🙂

Hi.. any updates on this?! The customer service call center is useless! I  have an iPhone XR and I could not receive msgs on my Versa and still made the mistake of buying a Versa 2 thinking it would be better. (That is turning out to be a bad decision... I’m ready to put it back in the box and return it!)

I have an Android phone. People on here with an IPHone say you need to set the messages to preview and it will work. If you still have a problem email Fitbit at  https://contact.fitbit.com

I'm sure from what I read on here, the preview setting for texts on your phone has to be on.

You are right, but it sucks deeply that Fitbit takes away your option, to
control whether or not you wish to preview messages on the phone.

It surely was not required on my old Charge 2, so something has changed
here. Fitbit support claims Apple changed "something" so it has to be this
way, but I honestly doubt that is the case. I believe it when a Fitbit
developer can point to the apple dev library being used, so I can confirm
what they say is true.

Clearly this is an issue for many people and I fail to understand how come
Fitbit does not seem to care at all. It goes to usability which one would
think was important in 2020.

Are all your notifications on?

Yes, all notifications are on. I also have my messages set to preview always on. I’ve pressed so many buttons, so can’t remember which ones exactly. Don’t want to jinx myself, but after a restart...it’s working!
I also emailed Fitbit. Still no response from them, which is disappointing, but thank you Fitbit community, you have been my saviour! Was about to buy an Apple watch!!

Thank you very much. But I have an Android. I just read the messages on here sometimes. Glad it's working.
