I have a Versa 2 and an iPhone X and cannot seem to get my text messages to my watch. All the settings are on to receive notifications on phone & watch. I had no issue with this and the blaze. Help please:)

Hw do I receive calls and texts? Returning mine, and the 2 others if I don't receive a response.

Hi. Did you pair your versa to your Bluetooth in your phone? That’s how your Fitbit will show calls. Make sure you go to Settings and select Notifications. Scroll down to select the Message app. Look to see if it’s showing Always or When Unlocked for (Options) Show Previews. Text messages will come through when one of those options are selected.

I get this message everytime. It says that I have to restart my phone and that the notifications are off but they are on.

Do you have preview enabled? I think the setting is in the notification center.

Worked perfectly. Almost gave up but this helped as we did everything else.
go to notifications and then scroll down to messages then down to notification previews and bang boom worked

I finally started receiving text messages by going into the Fitbit App>Click on the image in the upper left screen>Under Devices click Versa 2>scroll down and click on Notifications>Click on Text Messages>if your phone is anything like mine, there are several types of text messaging apps. Pick your Messenger source and make sure its ON. The previous default was an inactive messenger and so when I would turn it on, I received a similar message.

Have spent hours trying to get to the bottom of this!! I did the online chat and after about an hour they finally came out and said that they knew it was an issue and maybe an update in the future would resolve it. I still am unable to get text messages on my Versa 2. I have an IOS 7+.
Thank you

I was having issues as well, even after following all the steps. Only to realize. That the ‘Do not Disturb’ was on.
I think this silly step, might be overlooked by people. I did follow all the steps, including restarting both the Versa and IPhone, spent multiple hours trying all only to realize The do not disturb was on. To turn it off simply access the quick settings on the Versa 2 and select it off.

in the settings on your phone for text messages - show previews must be always to get the notifications on Versa 2 and using iPhone 11
