I have a Versa 2 and an iPhone X and cannot seem to get my text messages to my watch. All the settings are on to receive notifications on phone & watch. I had no issue with this and the blaze. Help please:)

Experiencing the same issue as everyone else on this thread...I’ve also reset my Versa 2, re-downloaded everything, turned all the notification settings that what has been recommended to get messages to come through. And still nothing. Need help! Versa 2 and IPhone 8 user...and yes everything is up to date

The Versa 2 software is not designed to accept text messages without having
the preview on your phone which defeats the purpose of the feature if you
ask me.

Fitbit needs to change the software bc the way it is now it does not work.

I’d say stop trying to make it work because you will just get more
frustrated. They created this product and it is not what is advertised.

I’m thinking of retiring it.

You're not missing anything.  Spent a LONG time this evening on Chat with Fitbit and went through all machinations, nothing has worked.  SOOO frustrating.  Returning in the morning.

Thank you! This worked. I think the confusion for the iPhone is under notifications. People think as long as preview is on always that’s it, but it’s not. Under notifications you still have to go to each app and make sure the preview is set to always!!

I’m with ya, so frustrating which is exactly why I returned mine as well. I’ve done everything mentioned (several times) in these posts and still won’t work.

Had this issue, have an IPhone 11, everything except text messages we’re going through.
this worked for me.

Go into settings, notifications, Fitbit, make sure that show preview - always is on

I have an iPhone 7. I started right from scratch from the instructions that came in the box. The key was to have the watch on the charger plugged into the wall. A notification comes up to pair the watch and phone through Bluetooth. That seemed to be the key to everything working. My text messages come up, phone notification and What’s App message comes up too. Give it a try!

This post fixed my messaging issues. In step 7- "show previews" was set to never on my phone. I turned it to "always", restarted my phone and Versa 2 and now I am getting my messages. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!

I have tried the instructions you provided to no avail. Same issue and phone as @hbkRN. This is quite frustrating as the Fitbit is a costly expense and for it not to do what it is intended to do is upsetting.
