I have a Versa 2 and an iPhone X and cannot seem to get my text messages to my watch. All the settings are on to receive notifications on phone & watch. I had no issue with this and the blaze. Help please:)

I have a Note 10+ & had the same issue - not receiving text on Versa 2.
Here's what worked for me after reading 1/2 of the comments here.
Make sure in the in-app settings for Messages the Preview Messages is on.
Under Adaptive Notifications, Notification Access, Fitbit should be on.
Go to App Notifications on your Android, under Recently sent look for Fitbit. You may have to click on SEE ALL. Click on Fitbit, make sure notifications are ON. Scroll all the way in the bottom, go to in-app notification settings. Make sure that Messages are on.
I also uninstalled Fitbit & reinstalled it. Reset my Versa 2 under settings, about, shutdown. Reset my phone Unpaired Versa 2 from my phone's Bluetooth. Once Fitbit was reinstalled on my phone I put my Versa 2 in Trash and re-added the device in the Fitbit app.
After all this I'm happy to say that I'm getting text messages now on my Versa 2. Hopefully, this helps.

Have you contacted Fitbit directly by email? I have an Android so I can't help. But they answer pretty quickly within a day. I find it better than these Forums. Mine has been working well all of a sudden after a sync. Fitbit can see what's in your phone.

My Versa 2 will receive calls but not text messages.

I’ve tried everything! I emailed them several times. They keep sending me the same articles I have found online and are no help. Terrible customer service! I guess I will buy an Apple watch.

Fitbit keep saying it's a known problem and they are trying to fix it but after 5 years with fitbit, I've had enough. I've wasted £200 on something that doesn't work. I'm swapping to samsung from now on

Yes. I am so very disappointed in their customer service. They will lose a lot of customers over this. And will not give me a number to call

I’m having the same issue. Did you ever get it resolved?

I did get the issue resolved. Had to put notifications for messages on always preview. (Which I don’t like because it also previews on my phone.).

it also works when you put it on preview when unlocked. I don’t like previewing my messages either. At least like this it’s not showing up for everyone to read.

Make sure your iPhone settings floor messages is set to Settings>Notifications>Show Previews>Always. That worked for me too.

Hi,You need to enable your messages to display on your screen. Under notifications: messages: options: show preview: always or when Unlocked.
But keep in mind this will also mean that the text of your messages will display on your iPhone.
Hope this helps.

Thank you. But mine has been working for weeks now. I have an Android not an IPhone. From what I understood the IPhones had the most problems. Thank you anyways. Hope your answer helps the IPhone users.

I have an Android phone. If any of the suggestions on here won't work for you. I would suggest contacting Fitbit Support by email. It will give you a case number and they can track how your phone is set up. https://contact.fitbit.com

Thanks for this information. I can get my text messages but can't type a reply or do a quick reply. Are you having this problem?

I really haven't sent a reply that way. I have only marked it READ and it comes up on my phone that way.
