Versa 2 not syncing - Not able to purchase 90-day Premium trial

Hi I was given my versa 2 for Xmas but not able to set it up until about 6 weeks ago.

For the past few weeks my watch has not been syncing automatically or when I try the sync now function.

The only way I can receive up to date info is to keep turning my mobile phone off and on.which  is annoying.

Also since the 2nd week of setting up my versa 2 I have been trying to upgrade to the premium package,  I am able to go almost al of the way as far as paying via PayPal then an error message appears and I have to begin again to have the same thing happen.

I would also like to delete a lot of food entries on the different lists as I have changed my eating habits and no longer eat most of the foods entered on the custom list and frequent list, but I cannot find a way to do this.

Can you please help with all of the above

Many thanks for your help

For the syncing turning the mobile phone off and on seems a bit extreme but good though tiresome if effective.

Normally the Fitbit App should run in background and it may not be doing so.

Check for optimization shutting the App down.

On an Android phone check battery optimizations

[the options may be different in your version]

  • First go to Settings > Apps & Notification > Special app access
  • Click on Battery optimization
  • Now press the drop down menu [...] and select “All Apps
  • Click on Bluetooth and then select “Don’t optimize
  • Same with Fitbit
  • Next go to Settings > Apps  > Fitbit > Storage
  • Clear cache [not data]
  • Force stop the Fitbit app

Hello Guy

Thank you for your reply to my versa 2 issues.

I have done everything you suggest in your message but my watch still will not sync to my mobile. I have a Samsung galaxy a5 running android 8.

I use my watch to exercise several times a day but none of the data shows up in my phone and I cannot sync manually - I just get a red ! and the circle keeps whirring around. Sometimes I get lucky when I switch the power off my phone and back on again but most times it doesn't work . I find it impossible to keep track of my calorie intake and water intake on the app and the times showing on  the app for my sleep pattern are incorrect a lot of the time.  Sometimes when I think the phone app has synced the info after turning it off and then back on, I can go to the app an hour later and the info has disappeared . I am finding this more than frustrating and am spending a lot of time trying to get the information on the app. Surely using a fitbit versa 2 it is not meant to be like this ?  I have only been using the watch for around 7 weeks and feel I should not be having this much trouble in using the watch.

Thank you for your help

Hi Eunice

Thanks for the feedback, your watch and phone should not be behaving in this way.

By any chance do you have more than one device with Bluetooth working, or was the watch synced at some point with another device?

Try Bluetooth issues - made simple Android 3.39.2  it should work in a similar way for your Versa 2.

If this doesn't work probably best to contact Fitbit Support directly. They may be able to help you.
