I got the Versa 2 the other day, I had the blaze for 2 years. I connected everything and we seemed to be off and running. I wasn't getting text notifications, but that seemed the only problem. Today and yesterday, I intermittently am not syncing with the app. I have tried to reset everything. . app, watch, bluetooth etc. The only thing that seems to work is powering off my phone, but that is not a long term fix. If I had to guess I would say there is something off with the app as I keep getting a notification from my app to connect my Versa 2 and it is already connected. It synced two hrs ago and is now sending an error message.
Please advise as this device is not useful without the syncing with the app. If you are not syncing you can not use Alexa as well.

Is your phone on the list of Approved Devices?

Hi @Jam330 , sorry to hear about your problem.
Versa 2 should be compatible with any phone that has Android 7.0 and above. As @SunsetRunner pointed out, your phone is not on the list of tested devices, but so isn't mine and it works. For the record I have a Note 4 with Android 6.1 and poor chance to get an upgrade to 7.0, yet after speaking to brilliant Fitbit support it all of a sudden started working and does everything for me.
For syncing I noticed that you either have to sync numerous times for tracker to actually sync or you need to give it a moment after you open the app, before you swipe down to sync.
It helps to have the app running in the background all the time, you need both bluetooth and location switched on.
If you're back to the message saying you need to connect the tracker, I would do what you probably have done already, just ensure you don't forget anything - remove the app, forget your tracker on your phone's bluetooth, reset the tracker, restart the phone, install the app, connect the tracker again.
If the issue keeps happening, contact Fitbit support, they're really great.
Good luck!
