Versa 2 not tracking Active Minutes anymore

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

After latest update yesterday. Fitbit versa 2 doesn't show active minutes. Even in all previous days no more active minutes. All active minutes have been changed to 0.

Tried to restart it, did not change anything.

What else can I do?

Hi @Anutushka, welcome to the Community Forums!

Thanks for bringing this to our attention and for trying our restart process before posting over here. If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to learn more about the new Active Zone minutes of your Versa 2 checking the information that's specified on our help article: What are Active Zone Minutes or active minutes on my Fitbit device? and let me know if you have any additional questions.

I'll be around.

Thank you for your help.

What does not make any sense now is how these minutes are calculating.

For doing Cardio for 30 minutes I usually get on average 47-49 Zone minutes.

But for fast pace walking for an hour I got none at all! Since my heart beat never was in a new Fat burning Zone. Like I have done nothing at all.

So my fast pace walk does not count towards Zone minutes. And it is not right.

The fact you've replaced Active Minutes with Active Zones, instead of giving the users a choice, is quite ridiculous and tarnishes the premium GetFit Bingo. When playing against users on older devices I'm now expected to trigger "Active Zones" by jogging or running, where they can simply walk..

@Anutushka   I have an answer for you on how these minutes are calculated.  Active minutes use an equation that is just based on age.  Active zone minutes use an equation that is based on your age and resting heart rate.  When you work out in the cardio or peak zone, you get two zone minutes for each minute in that zone.  That's how you got 47-49 zone minutes in a 30 minute workout.  You can see your new zones when you tap on your zone minute icon on your phone app.  Those zones will change if your resting heart rate changes.

I agree with you completely about the zone minutes and a fast paced walk.  It is a shocker.  Are you keeping at least a 3.5 mph (5.63 kph) speed?  That's the CDC definition of a brisk walk.

@MyAuthoritaah  You shouldn't need to run to get zone minutes.  You should be able to get them walking.  But look at it this way.  If you do anything in your cardio zone, you will get two zone minutes for each minute in your cardio/peak zone.  Those other users will still get one active minute.  I change my workouts when I am playing Get Fit Bingo.  Also, it is my understanding that the difference between active minutes and zone minutes is taken into account when calculating the board requirements.

My resting heart rate is very low 50-55. I am 46 years old.

It never gets to over 100 when I brisk walk. I have to jog or run. This is not right.

I should not run to get those zone minutes. Moderate activity is not jogging or running.

I've always gotten my heart rate between 102 and112.  Tonight during my 23 minute walk it was 112 and all I got was 1 active zone minute.  I switched from a Versa (it broke) to a Versa 2 on Monday night and now I no longer qualify for active zone minutes 🤷🏻‍:female_sign: Bizarre
