Versa 2 not tracking HR for weight lifting or workout mode

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

So annoyed! Fitbit versa2 is not working when I do kettlebells or a general workout! My HR was 62 after 3 sets of kettlebell swings and is usually around the 130 mark. I was fit to pass out from trying to her the HR up. It’s rendering workouts useless.  If I use the treadmill mode my HR is deemed to be reaching 209 and that’s ridiculous! This is since the software update and I’ve tried all of the suggested ‘quick fixes’ and none of them will work! So annoyed!!! Please fix this Fitbit

Hi @Jacq2021, welcome to the Community Forums.

Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts and personal experience with your Fitbit device, I understand your situation and how frustrating this matter can be for you. Heart-rate tracking can be affected by several factors including air temperature and device location on your arm. For more information about this, please check our help articles:

However, if your heart-rate tracker seems inaccurate after taking the recommendations into account, please reply with answers to the following questions so I can further investigate:

  1. What were you doing when you noticed the problem? If you were exercising, only kettlebells were affected?
  2. Were you wearing the Fitbit device particularly tight or loose?
  3. What was the position of the Fitbit device on your wrist?

I'll be waiting for your reply if further assistance is needed.

Hi Ricardo,

Thank you for your reply.
In answer to your questions:

At the time I was lifting kettlebells - my heart rate was 62 which is my resting HR and believe me I was far from it! As I said I tried all of the fixes. The HR monitor also doesn’t work for ‘workout’ mode asleep as ‘weight’ choice on the Fitbit.

I was wearing the Fitbit as normal, the same way I’ve been wearing it for the last year that it has worked! I’ve tried moving it which I shouldn’t have to do and it still won’t work. I was wearing the Fitbit as recommended by yourselves and it still doesn’t work. Otherwise I wouldn’t be highlighting the issue with respect. Thank you

No one seems to be trying to fix this. I have the same problem.  I have reached out to support directly for help with mine. It’s so ridiculous and the amount of complaints on here and they just keep saying “check this help article. Not at all helpful. 👎🏻

This is all since the update it would seem.  I don’t know why they can’t fix the issue knowing what caused it! So annoying when you’re busting your **ahem** doing weights to be asked if your wearing it correctly🙄 and nearly passing out to get the bloody thing to work😂

Also having this exact problem.  Since an update a couple months ago my HR is not even remotely accurate when tracked in Weights mode. It is always tracked as below heart rate zone despite me going all out. I take my own pulse and it's significantly higher, almost double what I am tracked as having. Have tried all of the above recommendations. Appears to be a software problem.

Unfortunate fitbit/google hasn't fixed this several months later 😞
