Versa 2 not tracking heart rate and calories accurately

Hello,

I just recently got my Versa 2. For the most part it seems like it’s working pretty well. But I have a few questions and I’m wondering if anyone has gone through the same thing.

1. Throughout the day I have my watch comfortably on. It seems to be tracking HR pretty accurately with no interruptions... but I find if I workout (usually full body circuits, high intensity, a good amount of arm movement), I’ve noticed that there are times that it would stop tracking my HR. I adjusted it higher on my wrist and I had then tightened it pretty tight, after doing that I found it then would track my HR during my exercise without that issue. Is that normal? How do you wear your watch during exercise? And do you adjust it depending on what workout you’re doing?

2. I usually do a 15 minute walk outside before my workout, I will start tracking once I leave my house. It seems that the calorie burn seems quite high for just a walk... does anyone have a similar experience with that?

3. Regarding the Versa 2, does anyone have any tips on how to use it and/or wear it best? In general or even for high intensity workouts?

Thank you!!

Hi @llamyaehf, due to the recent events, I apologize for the delayed response. However, it's great to see you in our Fitbit Community.

I'd like to follow up and help you with your Fitbit Versa 2 since it doesn't track heart rate accurately when you workout and the calories are inaccurate also before your workouts.

Please restart your Versa 2 as described in this help article. After this, check out this help page, which explains how to track your workouts with your Fitbit device. Also, visit this article, which provided tips about how to wear your watch properly.

Finally, monitor your watch during your next workouts and see if the issues get fixed.

Keep me posted on the outcome.

it is working fine when I am running or walking . Unfortunately I am facing this problem regularly when I do high intensive workout like pull up . Low hear rate was detected ( 70bpm) or no reading ( no detection ) .
The article you share are mainly for running and walking ..

I am having this issue!!! I will be weight lifting and it will say my heart rate is at 70 the ENTIRE TIME. I’m active during the day and my calories aren’t adding up like they used to…I’ve reset it MULTIPLE times but nothing seems to work..

I too have this issue. Get accurate heart rate with treadmill and bike, but on Rowing machine heart rate registers as resting rate or lower even when I can tell I'm at peak rates.  If I hop off the rower and walk around, suddenly the correct HR registers. Have tried repositioning and resetting. The is happened on 3 consecutive workouts on the rower.
