My Fitbit versa 2 does not track a single night of sleep. Already every night I have a gap of 1-2 hours where no tracking occurs. Sleep tracking was the main reason I received this as a gift. After seeing enough unsuccessful similar situations from other users and also seeing the generic responses, I'm convinced the product is faulty and cannot live up to its standard. Fitbit has released a bad product.

Have you countacted Fitbit, they have tools to analyze the data and your hardware.

So far they've encouraged me to adjust my sleep sensitivity from normal to sensitive. My watch is in the correct position, charged, and I've even flipped it upside down. I hope this works since I am very curious to monitor my sleep. In the few days it has worked correctly it's been pretty decent.
