Versa 2 not tracking sleep

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I just went from a Charge 2 to the Versa 2. Since changing over, my Versa 2 will not track my sleep. It's showing like 1hr per night, but nothing else?

It is tracking steps and my heart rate just fine though.

I am sorry.  I hope  mine  doesn't  quit  again. I had  a Versa once before  and it  never  did track at all. I  hoped they  had figured out the bugs.  At least  I  don't  have  over  $500. invested like  I did with the two Samsung  Smart watches which about  drove  me nuts because there I was dealing  with my carrier for days getting a refund.

Yes, I should have stuck with the charge hr. No issues and I didnt worry
about scuffing up with kettlebells when I exercise.

Ok..  I solved the problem!!!

The Versa 2 does not seem to be reliable at determining the sleep start and end times automatically.  In my case, the sleep time begins in the middle oft the night.  After much pain and suffering, I saw a Youtube video where the person deleted the sleep log and re-added the sleep log manually.  This only works for the last sleep cycle.

This is sufficient for me.  I can live with this manual work around.

So if you have no sleep log, or an incomplete sleep log, delete the current one, and add it back manually.  Enter the time you went to bed and when you woke up.  The Vesa 2 will calculate the sleep graph and give you a Sleep Score!!!  WOOO!  HOOO!

Look. Simply put this is a Versa 2 issue. I went straight from to a Versa 1 to this. The old one tracked my sleep fine as has my prior Charge HR.  *Nothing* about my sleep patterns has changed. Just the device performance.

Fitbit has some obvious problems with consistency of performance between releases. My wife suffered a similar issue with step counting when switching from her Charge HR to the Versa 1. In her case it was radically undercounting (25% too low) her steps as compared to mine.  Same thing.  No reason but the switch to the next version.

I have no explanation as to why the change of the setting from normal to
sensitive made any difference, because everything I read said doing that
would cause erratic readings....but from night one after doing that mine
has done great. Last night it didn't pick up my first few hours which I
edited and then it gave me a proper reading because I know my best sleep
are the first 3 or 4 hours.

mine will not track sleep at all.  i’ve checked and done all the same noted things to ensure it works, yet nothing.

My Versa tracks everything but not my sleep. Yesterday I synced it and it worked. Today however it hasn’t worked. Surely I shouldn’t have to do this every day. Isn’t it supposed to track automatically?

Hi. It is worth checking that the phone is connected as the watch sometimes loses the watch. If you turn the phone off and back on it resets. You don’t lose data or your records, so give it a go

I check that it is connected every night. It works well for awhile and then
it will skip nights. I wear out exactly the same every night. It’s just
frustrating because I have premium for the sleep part. Thank you for the
reply

You would think so, but I always have to sync with my phone to see my
sleep. And sometimes it takes 2 or 3 tries.

Since  changing the  setting to Sensitive,  mine has been  mostly  consistent.  I  have had to edit a few times when it didn't pick up correctly bedtimes.  It might stop tonight but I am doing  better with it.  If you have not  changed  that  setting,  try it at least. Can't  be any worse.

Sleep has recorded properly twice since purchasing my Versa 2 3wks ago. Never had an issue with my original little Fitbit. One of the reasons I got it was to track my non-sleeping!

I have posted this before but I will say it again. Mine was not tracking either. I railed and finally I saw someone else who said they had changed a setting to sensitive instead of normal. It’s been almost perfect since then. I check for my tracking on my phone every morning. I also learned if it failed I could edit the time I went to bed and awoke and give it a few hours, it would give a complete reading. Try it, you have nothing to lose.

Ugh I am so frustrated & infuriated because I read through the forums to find answers but I’m just constantly reading of more people with the same issues for Versa 2. If people would post this up on Amazon I wouldn’t have bought this!! Grrrrr
