Versa 2 not tracking sleep

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I just went from a Charge 2 to the Versa 2. Since changing over, my Versa 2 will not track my sleep. It's showing like 1hr per night, but nothing else?

It is tracking steps and my heart rate just fine though.

I have the same issue. I had a Blaze that worked great. I wanted the
Versa 2 for my swimming and aqua aerobics but I didn’t expect to have to
trade off.

My new watch tracked my sleep first two nights. Now for four nights it hasn’t. I did reset 2 times and still won’t track. I followed the directions where to place it and how snug to put it. Help. Do I return it?  I have sleep problems and the doctor wants me to track

Hi. I would replace it. I had similar issues with my first one, when I replaced it it all worked.

Good luck

If you need it to work I would return it because everyone has complained
and they do nothing about it. They’ll tell you to reset it till the cows
come home.

My husband and I recently purchased the versa 2. He had the charge 4 for one night and it tracked his sleep and stages no problem. However, the versa 2 has not tracked sleep for either of us. I followed the « troubleshooting » on this page and still no luck. Definitely feeling buyers regret now as this product is faulty. Should have went with Apple. Now I know for our next purchases.

Also, I didn’t wear it to bed last night cause what’s the point now and when I turned off my alarm I already did 40 steps. My nightstand must have been busy LOL

Yup, I've had mine now for 6 months and the only way to get your sleep is
to walk up and syne with the app and sometimes you have to sync it two or
three times. And Fitbit just tells you to reboot. My Blaze tracked it
fine!

I had a Charge 2 which was very erratic  tracking sleep.  I  had tried every trick I  saw

Got a Versa 2 last weekend.  It had been spot on except last night, nothing  at all. My main complaint is I have not received a  single notification as to calls and texts.  Settings are what they  are supposed to be according to research.  But I  really  count on tracking sleep.  This my second  Versa.  First one never tracked either.

Got the new Versa 2 this week For Father’s Day and I only see the sleep period for the last 3 hours before I wake up.

I go to bed around midnight and the Versa 2 doesn’t register the first 3 hour period.  My wife’s Fitbit can track her sleeping all night long, even when she naps on the couch!   But my Versa 2 can’t  track when I’m in bed asleep 😴

I do go to the bathroom in the middle of the night so is that why it loses the first half?  Only on the first night I saw my sleep periods in 2 blocks, but afterward I only see the last 3 hours.

I am not pleased

I feel your pain. Mine worked fine for about 4 days then just simply stopped. I should have known better  to get this as I had a Versa before and it never worked.  Then a Charge 2 that worked erratically, then two Samsung Galaxy watches (pricey..ouch) first one died in about 4 days, returned and bought second and first charge said it is too hot , remove from charger)  returned it and went and bought another Versa 2. Thought surely they had kinks worked out by now. Nope....not only is it not tracking sleep, it has yet to receive one notification of texts or calls.....I am not happy either. I have done everything I can find as a suggestion. Nothing works. Last night I wore on inside of arm. No help there.

My Fitbit isn't tracking sleep since I've bought it, cAnt understand why

Because Fitbit blew it with the Versa 2. You have to sync every morning to
get your sleep numbers and sometimes you have to do it two or three times.
They are not owning up t9 this defect.

Neither is mine. It worked maybe 3 or 4 days max (it's brand new) and now has not worked in a week. If anyone gives a good answer , please post back. I have gone through settings and checked and rechecked. I think it's just a flaw in the Versa 2 watch same it was in the first Versa I bought and now has been in a drawers for a couple of years.  I had a Charge 3 that was erratic but still more reliable than this one.

Mine is doing well on the syncing but that has helped with the sleep tracking. I got nothing for a week now.

I'm going to change my "Advanced Settings" on my Account Page.   There is a "Sleep Sensitivity" option which has 2 options, "Normal" or "Sensitive".

I will change the Sleep Sensitivity to "Sensitive" and try it out.  From my reading on the Fitbit help sites, I may be moving too frequently at night so the app is assuming that I am awake instead of asleep. So I'll give that a try.

If this doesn't work, I'll swap Fitbits with my wife who has an Fitbit Inspire HR and works perfectly.  If it doesn't work for her then I know it's the Versa 2 that's at fault.

It's the versa 2, and Fitbit won't fess up. They tell you to reset, turn
it off and on etc. the only way to get my sleep numbers is to each when you
wake up and sometimes you have to sync two or three times. I had the
Fitbit Blaze and it recorded by sleep consistently without having to sync
with the app! I only change for the water resistant feature

I'm having the same problem. I bought Versa 2 a couple of weeks ago after my Charge HR suddenly stopped working. Versa 2 tracks my sleep sporadically. Since purchasing, it has tracked my sleep maybe three nights, and it is not even tracking a whole night. I never had these issues with the Charge. Very disappointing.

My daughter complained to Fitbit and they sent me a replacement.  Going to retry again tonight.

I changed the settings as I saw someone said they were going to try....in the sleep mode from Normal to Sensitive.   It immediately began tracking my sleep.......It has to be done in the app and I could not find that particular setting in the phone app but instead in the app on my laptop. On another topic , I had not be getting notifications, but went in and changed some settings there and now I am getting notifications too. A better week.
