Versa 2 not tracking sleep

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I just went from a Charge 2 to the Versa 2. Since changing over, my Versa 2 will not track my sleep. It's showing like 1hr per night, but nothing else?

It is tracking steps and my heart rate just fine though.

Why should I have to manually track my sleep! I get in bed at 9:30-10:00
but typically don't fall asleep right away. Then I typically wake up
during the night and can't fall back to sleep for an hour sometimes two.
That's one of the reasons for the Fitbit!

I know. I understand. Sometimes I think I would just be better off not even knowing.

Suddenly out of nowhere the Versa 2 started to track my sleep again.  This occurred after I cleaned the back of the watch.

When I look back at the days when the Versa 2 didn’t track my sleep, I see that the heart beat readings were partially missing during my sleep.  This missing bpm data probably caused my sleep not to be recorded.

So I decided to clean the back of the watch with a wet paper towel and buffed it dry.

After cleaning the back of the watch it appears to have helped because I am now getting more continuous pulse data during sleep.  Give it a try.

it’s not perfect though because I still have to change the start time or delete the sleep recording and manually enter the start and end time.

I recently cleaned mine also. They do get gunk on them if you are doing daily chores and water splashes  plus they are off only long enough to charge.  Thanks for posting this tip.Sent from my Verizon, Samsung Galaxy smartphone

I had this. I recently found that if I put my phone in flight mode and don't tap the sleep button on the app (just let the watch do it automatically) it will log sleep. I have done this for 6 days now and the app is giving me a sleep score with all the data without fail. Try it.

Put phone in flight mode, don't tap sleep on app, worked for me consecutively now for 6 days, all data logged. Hope this works for you.

My fitbit versa 2 is not tracking my sleep on a consistent basis, new watch in April, already 19 times didn't track and gave me basic sleep score,  called fitbit support 5 different times and tried everything and they won't let me use my warranty saying it works most of the time, I told them that wasn't acceptable I paid for a product and that product is faulty (works most of the time , up yours)

I gave up on Fitbit months ago. Finally gave in and bought an Apple watch , purchased the app and it has never missed a night. And tells me much more like heart rate dip, blood O2, and more.
