Versa 2 not updating to correct version

My Versa 2  was updated this morning to v35.72.1.15 firmware update. The Fitbit app on my phone had the update available notification for at least the last 3 days, and I let it update this morning by putting the watch in the charger.

They update was successful, however it says the firmware version is v35.72.1.15, not v35.72.1.9 as listed on https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1372.htm?Highlight=update

 

Both my watch and the phone app say the firmware is up to date, but the web app doesn't show the firmware version of my Versa 2 at all.

 

Which is the correct version that should be on my Versa 2?

@MaxLV  You are the second user who posted about this update.  I agree that there is nothing in the Help article (I verified when the other user posted).  There is nothing in the Fitbit blog or at 9to5Google about a firmware update.  I suspect we just need to wait for an announcement.

As the page I linked to has version 35.72.1.9 as the latest version and that's a lower number than 35.72.1.15 that my Versa 2 was updated to this morning, I'm thinking the version number on the page is way out of date, and hasn't been updated for ages by Fit Bit. 

Update: On further investigation, version 35.72.1.9 is an old version, as there are posts here from January 2021 about this update. Version 35.72.1.15 is the latest/current firmware version and I'm happy now that my Versa 2 has the latest firmware.

My issue is similar but a little different.. My versa is reading v35.72.1.15, my web app says its updated to the most current version, however, my fitbit app is telling me constantly that I still need to update it. I do so (i've attempted updating about 10 times now), the app immediately fails the update, but then I get a notification on my phone that the update was successful. If 35.72.1.15 is indeed the correct version, why is my phone STILL telling me to update?

Have you tried restarting your phone?

After I updated my Versa 2, the Fit bit app on my phone still said there was still an update available. I went through the update process again, the watch said it was updated immediately and in the watch settings/about it showed the installed update as v35.72.1.15, but the Fit bit app on my phone said the update had failed and that there was an update available.

 

I tried once again, with the same update failed message in the Fit bit app on my phone. So I turned off the watch and restarted it, then restarted my phone. 

When the phone had restarted and I opened the Fit bit app it said my Versa 2 was up to date with the correct firmware version.
