Versa 2 notifications quit working after 1 week

I received a Versa2 at Christmas from my husband. I was thrilled to have not only a step tracker and watch but notifications from my emails, chat and texts. They stopped happening almost immediately though. I called customer service and they were no help. I called 2 days later and after another long call they told me they were having "issues" with Android and IOS and had no idea when necessary updates would be available. I asked to return it but they said that had to be through the store it was purchased at. The store wouldn't do the return even though its been less than a month since I received it as Christmas Gift. I've tried every troubleshooting method anyone has told me to do and they are completely unsuccessful. My Android doesn't work with Versa 2 and NO ONE will help me change it from a $200 step tracker to the useful tool Fitbit claimed it to be.

As you pointed out, this has nothing to do with your Versa 2 but with the Fitbit app and changes made in the phones latest operating system

Literally, the EXACT same thing!! My phone updated, no biggie.  I am getting all notifications EXCEPT my text messages.  I have tried everything to troubleshoot.  Reset Fitbit, restart phone, delete and reinstall app, all notification settings are on. I am SO frustrated!!

It has everything to do with Fitbit. Customers ought to be able to rely on Fitbit products working with phone systems Fitbit claims work. I request to speak with someone in supervisory position willing to help me receive the product my husband purchased. Someone needs to step up and please dont blame an entirely different company and product. That's insulting to your customers.

I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing this malfunction as well! Fitbit advertises Versa2 is compatible with Android which is the main reason my husband purchased it for my gift.
I hope you and I can post in our next post that Fitbit replaced or refunded the faulty product. The notifications they promise are what sets the product apart from many less expensive trackers for me.
They are fully responsible to deliver the product services and compatibility they advertise.

Who is blaming another company @Colsen?

I simply stated that a change has been made to the OS and Fitbit is working on updating the app to work with the changes.

As for iOS many companies where not made aware of the changes Apple made and many of these companies are still working on the text issue.
