I received my new Fitbit versa 2 yesterday as an upgrade for my old Charge 2 and I'm generally happy about it.

I started to notice that my device will only sync to my phone (Samsung galaxy a50) when the Fitbit app is open and on screen.

All day sync is on and I don't fully close the app. Background use is on and battery saving mode is off. I have the most recent updates installed on both app and watch. In the app it says that my device synced to my phone x minutes ago when it should be constantly connected.

I receive all the notifications on it but Spotify and Amazon Alexa have trouble connecting because it's not 'currently synced to my device' or 'no internet connection' (see picture)

Does anyone have the same issue? And how can I fix it? Because right now I can't really use Spotify and Alexa from my watch.

@HalfSourSaffitz Welcome to the Community. Sorry for the delayed reply.

Thanks for the screenshot shared and the details mentioned. I'm glad to hear that you upgraded from Charge 2 to Versa 2 and you're happy with your new watch.

The reason why you might be experiencing issues with Spotify and Alexa is because the phone you're using isn't a supported device and this is why there's some inconsistency when syncing. We confirmed that the devices on this list are fully compatible with all features of Fitbit devices and the Fitbit app. While a phone or tablet may not be verified as fully compatible, the Fitbit app may still work with your device.

We routinely test new devices to ensure full compatibility with Fitbit devices and the Fitbit app, and are constantly working to confirm compatibility with new phone models. Be sure to verify that your phone or tablet meets the minimum operating system requirements.

If Spotify isn't working at all, you may want to try using music control

I'll be around if you have any additional questions.
