Versa 2 properly working only when on charger

I have had my Versa 2 since March and I don't shower or swim with it. Today I went to take it off sleep mode and it would not come on. It was about 30% so I put it on the charger to see if it would fix itself. It suddenly went to 100% and when I hold the button it only shows Quick Settings. I changed the display to Always-On but it only shows the time. Plugging it into the charger shows the options but when I swiped to settings the page would not open. The device will not sync or be recognized for an update.

What can I do to reset it if I can't get to settings? the light sensor on the back seems off as well only one of the 4 is working and it flickers none stop now.

Hi @Kathryn-MI, welcome to the Community Forums!

Thanks for your post and for the details that were shared, certainly, your Versa 2 is not working as the way it was designed. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know when was the first time you experienced such difficulties with your device and how many times since then? If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to restart your Versa 2 following the next steps:

  1. For Fitbit Versa 2, hold the back button for 10 seconds.
  2. Let go of the buttons.
  3. If you still have issues with your device, turn it off and turn it back on. For more information, see How do I turn off my Fitbit device?

Let me know if the issue persists, I'll be waiting for your reply.
