I'm a runner and some time ago started noticing that my fitbit Heart Rate reading seemed weird. It would show me 183bpm on moderate runs. A few weeks back I've decided to buy a polar HRM chestrap to check the actual heart rate and realised Fitbit often overstated my heart rate by 20bpm on average for the run. In fact my max heart rate is below 175bpm despite ditbit often stating heart rate of over 180bpm. It is also is quite random in the readings like showing 160 on intensive intervals and still showing 160 after slowing down to jogger pace. I try to make fitbit snug for my runs by pushing it up my arm a little.
I've discovered a new issue this week with the altimeter. After doing 264 floor stair climb in addition to 100 meters elevation run, fitbit was only showing 104 floors total for day.
Has anyone else noticed this with versa 2? Any maintenance and workaround tips?

Hi @AlexeyB222 - the Versa 2 should be reasonably reliable, it may be a good idea to do a full Shutdown from the watch Settings, About menu.
Wait at least 10 seconds before doing anything with the watch to allow it to complete and then see if there is an improvement.
A chest strap may always produce more accurate HR results because of the nature of the difference in technology. But overall the Versa 2 should produce some good results, especially for sleep where there is less interference with HR detection.
