after I re-synced my firbit versa 2 when it showed the error, it just showed a white fitbit logo and a charging indicator, as for the app. Firstly, the app shows a different photo for the device (for my surge it is correct tho) and secondly when i click on 'versa 2' it justs opens up the menu with the delete bin in the corner for a second, i took thst screenshot from a frame from a screen recording

Hi there @DaimDaRunner!

It's great to see you here in the Fitbit Community!

Thank you so much for letting us know that your Versa 2 isn't working properly after showing the error message: "Data not cleared; please sync and try again", for all your efforts and the pictures.

Have you already checked if you can update the Fitbit app?

Please try to follow these instructions:

  • Turn off Bluetooth on your phone; wait 10 seconds, and then turn it back on.
  • Restart your Versa 2.
  • Turn your phone off and back on.
  • Remove all other Fitbit devices from your Fitbit account.
  • Remove your Fitbit device from the list of connected Bluetooth devices on your phone or tablet:
    • On your phone, tap Settings Bluetooth.
    • Tap the information icon or gear icon next to the name of your Fitbit device.
    • Find the option to forget the device.
  • Uninstall and reinstall the Fitbit app. Note: Before you uninstall the app, verify that your phone is running a supported version of Android OS. If your phone is on an older version, you won’t be able to reinstall the app. For OS requirements, see Fitbit-compatible devices.
  • Try setting up your Versa 2 again: How do I set up my Fitbit device?
