Versa 2 screen came off and I'm out of warranty

While I was taking off my cardigan I heard a thud and saw that my Versa 2 faceplate was on the carpet. I then proceeded to start an online chat with someone named Vincent, who told me that nothing could be done because it's now out of warranty. I initially told him that it had been ordered on 2/15/20 and then apologized when I realized that it was actually 2/20/20, and that I probably didn't receive it until close to the end of that month or even the beginning of March. Even though it's past the warranty it's still pretty close and that I saw in the Community that it's a known issue. He ignored that statement asking me if I needed anything else (maybe thinking that I was lying, although I do have the receipt. And if I'm not mistaken, I put the correct date in the section before the start of the chat which asked your issue.).

Horrible customer service. No empathy, just "Sorry, out of warranty. Anything else?". I really don't think that I was asking too much. It's not like it was 18 months later. Does anyone know of a way for me to repair it?

Hi there @KrySel, welcome to the Community Forums. We acknowledge the limitation we have on our part particularly on what you have experienced. We‘re taking into consideration your comments and sentiments with regards to our products and services.

Please note that our products are indeed designed and made to last (this goes for each product component) however, there is not an infallible way to ensure that no issues will be present in the long run. Because of this, our Warranty Policy is set into providing as much coverage as we can.

For more information about the outcome of your case with our Support Team, please feel free to get in touch with them again or you can check our warranty policies (fitbit.com/legal/returns-and-warranty) for a better understanding of the information that was provided to you.

On your Versa 2 you can also confirm its activation date, which is the day your device’s warranty begins. The activation date is the day you set up your device. To do so, open the Settings app, tap About Versa 2 > System Info to see the activation date.

Have a nice day.

MarreFitbit, I'm not seeing what you're referring to. I went to the app and under Settings nothing shows About Versa 2. Under my Account > Versa 2 it shows everything but the activation date. This is what I see:

@KrySel Thanks for the image attached in your previous post. Please note the information you're looking for is in the Settings on your Versa 2 itself, not the Fitbit app.

No, this doesn't help as I can't look at the settings on my Versa 2 because it's broken. All I have is my HSN receipt which shows that it was ordered 02/15/2020.
