My versa 2 has suddenly stopped displaying time even when I tap the screen or press the key on the left.

Hi @Notimedisplay, welcome to our Fitbit Community. Since you mentioned that your Versa 2 doesn't show the time on the clock face, I'd like you to restart it as described in this help article. After this, try changing the clock face to one developed by Fitbit and see if it shows the time correctly.
