Versa 2 screen fell off in hot tub

Wore my Fitbit versa2 when swimming to track laps. Have worn in hot tub too after finishing laps. Screen fell off yesterday. Reading responses from Fitbit saying only water resistant not water proof. Why on earth would it be recommended for tracking swimming?

Hi @Milepaul  see page 66 of the user manual for the environmental conditions - click to read. The hot tub is too hot for your device. I'm not sure why the wording "water resistant" as opposed to "water proof" but Fitbit doesn't make waterproof devices, according to the user manuals.

Your Versa 2 is water-resistant to 50 meters. If you wore your tracker in the hot tub right after finishing laps with cold water it could explain what happened. The best way to get help for this problem is to chat with us online or give us a call. Click here to get connected.
