Versa 2 screen frozen on Fitbit logo

I've only been wearing my Versa 2 watch for six weeks. A few days ago it stopped syncing and froze. The logo is on the screen but it won't swipe. I've tried holding in the button for 20+ seconds and this just causes the logo to disappear and reappear but it won't turn on.  It keeps telling me the battery is flat and so I keep charging it, but the charge doesn't last long. It doesn't buzz/vibrate when I plug it in to the charger.

Basically it's just dead.

@Mohair, welcome to our Fitbit Community! I'm happy to assist you with your Fitbit Versa 2 since it only shows the Fitbit logo and won't show anything else. By the way, thank you for trying to get this issue resolved before contacting our forums.

 

I'd like you to try one more workaround, which has been helpful for this type of issues. Please try a factory reset. To do so on your device, follow the steps below:

 

  1. Hold the back button for about 8 seconds. 
  2. When the Fitbit logo disappears:
    1. Release the button briefly (for less than 2 seconds). 
    2. Hold the button again until they feel a second, longer vibration, which indicates they initiated the factory reset.

Finally, monitor your watch and see if the issue gets fixed.

Ok I've tried holding button for 8 seconds. Logo disappears - I release
button for less than 2 seconds then re-hold it. Nothing happens. No
vibration - no restart. It's still just frozen on logo.

 

What will I do now? This watch is useless to me

Has there been any update on this?  My versa 2 has the same issue. I have tried the same processes and it did not fix it.

My Versa 2 has exactly the same issue? 
won’t reset at all. I have followed the steps outlined in your message and it just keeps the Logo on the screen and nothing else works? 
Any assistance would be appreciated

The same issue happen to me today! I just got my Versa 2 for Christmas and haven’t had any issues until today! Please help me with this matter. I have try resetting and it stuck on logo screen.

Do a hat with online support. They will troubleshoot and may replace it.

I’m having this issue and my watch is only under 6 mo old as well

it was fully charged yesterday

it flashed this morning it was being updated (message was just cleaning up or something like that)

then it showed a low battery icon and finally the Fitbit logo flashes off and on

i tried the factory reset with no response  it keeps flashing the logo

 

please note I had a Versa 1 prior and it just stopped recording sleep and inaccurate heartrate so I returned it and got the Versa 2

please advise how to get the watch replaced

Do an online chat. Our versa 2 was replaced. They were very helpful. The replacement took about a month because of this crisis. Good luck.

yeah mine is just dead too after an hour on the phone with tech support and several attempts to reset factory settings.
