Versa 2 screen frozen on Fitbit logo

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I've only been wearing my Versa 2 watch for six weeks. A few days ago it stopped syncing and froze. The logo is on the screen but it won't swipe. I've tried holding in the button for 20+ seconds and this just causes the logo to disappear and reappear but it won't turn on.  It keeps telling me the battery is flat and so I keep charging it, but the charge doesn't last long. It doesn't buzz/vibrate when I plug it in to the charger.

Basically it's just dead.

Took all the steps that you recommended, and did not work. Just continually shows the fit bit logo.

This has been happening a couple times to my versa 2. It is 1.5 years old so outside of warranty. I've done all the things that are recommended. None of the recommendations have helped.

I've held the button for 10 seconds, 20 seconds, 8 seconds then release for 2 seconds then hold. Never got a vibration.

Once throwing it on the floor worked.

Another time ignoring it for 3 hours worked.

Once plugging it in worked, but not anymore.

Currently the button has been held in by a clamp for three hours and that hasn't yet worked.

The watch has been great but there isn't even anything to fix about it, it just keeps showing the fitbit start screen for a few seconds off and on. My second fitbit product to die before its time.

I'll be done with fitibt now.

I ordered my watch on May 26,2022.  My screen is frozen on the screen with the time.  I have tried to reset it and it would never do the reset.  What do I do and how to I contact someone for help?

Exact same thing with mine. 13 month of use and frozen. I have taken great care of my device, used it every day and am now without. When will Fitbit solve this issue? I've been a loyal Fitbit customer since 2016... incredibly frustrating.

Mine is the same

Same issue here. Tried reset + factory reset, and neither worked. It seems to go into an endless reboot loop. Support was unable to help me, and since my device was out of warranty, all they offered was a discount.

My Versa 2 has the same issue. I’ve tried everything. It started with the required software update which is when the Fitbit froze on the blue dots before the update even completed. I’ve tried everything recommended! It’s now useless to me!

Hold the back button for about 8 seconds. When the Fitbit logo disappears: Release the button briefly (for less than 2 seconds). Hold the button again until they feel a second, longer vibration, which indicates they initiated the factory reset.

Yay, it worked to hold button in till logo goes away, then press again till it vibrates. Time was wrong at 1st but changed to right time soon.

I have the exact same problem and have tried your advice.  Nothing has changed.  What do you recommend I should do now?

Thanks.

Hello LiliyaFitbit,

My Versa 2 had a heart attack during a firmware update and now all she shows me is her pretty blue logo. I've followed the steps. I hold down the button for 8 seconds, 10 seconds, 20 seconds, 8 seconds then 2 seconds. I've done it all. No vibration. No reset. I've removed my device from Bluetooth settings. I've rebooted my phone. I've cussed a little. I've attempted to set up the device again. I need help. And possibly an adult beverage. I love my Versa 2 and she hasn't synced since April 20. For four days I've checked my empty wrist for the time. I miss her. Can you help?

Donna

Been there, done that. Nothing works, and Fitbit don’t care.

Yup, tried all possible methods of revival. Didn't work.

This was my 3rd or 4th Fitbit (in a span of 3 years) that had issues but
since now it was out of warranty Fitbit shared a puny discount coupon for
buying a new one.

While I liked the fitbit interface j would not do the mistake of buying a
Fitbit, such a headache when it comes to the actual product.
I have moved on to Samsung watch and i would suggest you choose another
glitch free brand.
All the best.
