Versa 2. Severe screen issues!

The versa 2 was a Christmas gift, so it's less than 8 months old. I stopped wearing it for bed, as the sleep tracking rarely worked. I've never showered, or swam in it, nor has it been damaged. The heart monitor works intermittently.

A couple of days ago, the screen kept flashing. Now it looks like an old, un-tuned TV. Static and wibbly colours are visible only. It's completely unusable. I've tried restarting several times but to no avail.

Help please!

Hi there @Tj_Kirk, welcome to the Community Forums. I'm sorry to hear about the issues you've been having with your Versa 2. I appreciate you've taken the time to restart your watch in order to fix the corrupted screen. Thanks for letting me know that you've been taking a good care of your Versa 2. 😉

At this moment, the limits of what we can do for you here on the public community forums for the issue you're experiencing have been reached, so I've contacted our Support Team on your behalf to look into this issue further and provide you with some options for the screen, heart rate, and sleep issues. Please keep an eye on your email inbox for further instructions. Note that due to recent events affecting our operations, support options are limited and wait times are longer than usual.

We look forward to getting you back on track.

I did not choose this as the best answer, I clicked reply only!

Sadly the email came and simply asked me to factory reset. This isn't possible....

As instructed, I held the button for 8 seconds and the screen went black. Released for less than 2 seconds and then held the button again to wait for the vibration to initiate factory reset. Instead of the vibration, the screen displayed the empty battery symbol. This happens regardless of how long the fitbit has been on charge.

I place the fitbit back on charge, the fitbit logo displays for a few seconds, before returning to the fuzzy, unusable screen.
