Versa 2 screen is completely faded and dark

Three days ago when I turned on my screen, the clock was very clear and then one second later the display fades darker and the clock becomes less clear. Thus. I charged it all night but nothing has changed. It even got worse. Now, when turn it on, I sometimes only see a part of the display before it fades after a second. It still syncs and the touch screen still works even though I can’t see anything on the display. It’s not under warranty anymore, but I really don’t want to buy a new one. I have reset it completely, deleted the watch from the app, re-installed it, but the problem stays. Please help!

Hi @Lynnmees, welcome to our Fitbit Community. I'm sorry to hear that the screen of your Versa 2 became dark and it's fades a second after you turn it on. I totally understand how you feel about this and I appreciate the time spent trying to get this issue resolved.

I'd like you to try a factory reset. To do so on your device, follow the steps below:

  1. Hold the back button for about 8 seconds.
  2. When the Fitbit logo disappears:
  • Release the button briefly (for less than 2 seconds).
  • Hold the button again until they feel a second, longer vibration, which indicates they initiated the factory reset.

After this, try setting up your watch from scratch again and see if the issue gets fixed.

Keep me posted on the outcome.
