Some things do not seem to be working on my new Versa 2. I was trying to get WIFI connection (even though I'd already successfully connected it on Christmas Eve, but the app kept showing it could not connect to or find WIFI while I was sitting within 2 feet of the router). The watch screen suddenly went to black and nothing I did would get screen back on. When I searched for answer to the problem, I saw several posts about pressing all three buttons, etc., but Versa 2 only has one button. After about 15 minutes, the watch inexplicably came back on. I am starting to wonder if I have a defective Versa 2, not only because of this but because some of the other things do not work despite spending hours trying to fix the issues by reading the entire Versa 2 manual and loads of discussions on Fitbit board and elsewhere. Does anyone have any ideas on what caused this?

@CarlsbadCats, welcome to our Fitbit Community! I'm not sure what made your Versa 2 to go off all of a sudden.
I would like to know if you have a third party clock face installed. If so, please try changing the clock face to one developed by Fitbit. Finally, monitor your watch for the next 48 hours and see if the issue doesn't happen again.
Keep me posted.

Hi
I have the same issue. Last night the screen went blank but still vibrates. I have pressed the side button on my versa 2 and held it in, it vibrates but nothing on the screen.
I have tied the app changing the screen face but says unable to connect.
The sensors on the back are not flashing.
Have I got a faulty watch and need to send back to Fitbit? if so what are the contact details.

I have the same issue. Suddenly the watch went black and would not response to anything. Tried several times to restart it but could not. Suddenly it restarted on the fifth try. Charge level was 85%. I use the standard clock display. I also have exactly the same issue with Wifi that shows no Wifi.

You probably need to get in touch with fitbit.
Either call or try the chatting option

I have also had this happen to me on 3 random occasions. The screen goes black, the button won’t do anything, it has a good charge and it still counts steps. After a while it starts working again. I’m afraid if I don’t get it taken care of now while it is still under warranty I’ll regret it.

Did anyone figure out how to fix this? Mine has a black screen too.

Mine has always straightened itself out after 30 mins to an hour on its own but I’m going to reach out to FitBit anyway because I’m concerned this is going to be a bigger issue later and I’m still under warranty.

They would only open a ticket to document my issues. I’m going to start reporting back every time it happens now on that ticket number.

Hold your button down for at least 10 seconds and see if that does anything.

I have the same issue and contacted Fitbit about it.
The agent told me to change the clock face, and it did nothing. Next thing was to press all three buttons for 10-12 seconds and let go of the bottom right when I see the Fitbit logo, but the logo did not show.
Since my Versa 2 already falls outside of the 1-year limited warranty, they would not replace it and offered 35% discount instead. This is my second Versa 2 and it looks like they are just not meant to last. My first one lasted 5 months and this one just over a year. I will definitely consider investing on a more reliable smart watch with longer warranty than Fitbit offers.

Mine just went completely black and I can't get it come back on. It's battery does show when I put it on the charger and it says 97%. I have a Versa 2 also so it only has the one button. It's been over 30 minutes and it's hasn't come back on. Any suggestions? I have had mine since June. Now it's December. First time this has happened.

Try chatting with Fitbit
I think I had to restart Versa when that happened
It is easier to go through the steps when you have someone guiding you
