I guess it’s the latest update. I can’t choose a workout or scroll to other options like Starbucks, Pandora, etc. Screen also appears dim. I have restarted it, unpaired it from my iphone/re-paired it. Can anyone help with this?

yes I would like the email address, thank you. this is ridiculous the watch should last for more than a year or 2. mine is a couple of  months short of 2 years. I will be trying a different smart watch next time. its a shame because I do really like my fitbit

Update as the original poster:  I went through all the steps asked here on the forum. No fix. Then, I called and received more instructions by email. I was told an update was being pushed to my device and was only at 85%, so I had to wait and call if it was not fixed. 2 days later, still no fix. Called again today and went step by step with a customer service representative, to perform a factory reset and re-pairing. My device still would not update properly. I’m within the year warranty, so it was determined that I could get a new device. I hope this helps someone else and I hope all of our issues are resolved.

Interested in your email. Very frustrated with Fitbit and will NOT be
purchasing another one of their devices.

I was fortunate that I bought my Versa2 through Amazon and purchased the 3
year extended warranty for $23.00. I filed a claim and was told as soon as
I returned the watch, I would be refunded my purchase price since it was
within the 3 year window. (I had it 15 months.)
As soon as my refund is issued, I am buying a Samsung watch. I have had
several Fitbit units of various levels and they all crashed before the
expected warranty ran out, usually within a year. Not a good track record.

I'm glad it happened to you within the warranty. Thank you for the update.

I am having a similar issue. I can swipe right still and can access everything to the right.
however, when I try to swipe up to see steps and other stats, it swipes at first, then goes back to the Home Screen

Exact same things are going on with my versa 2. So frustrating!

Yeap! Good luck. Called customer support and they sent me a 35% off discount code. Like I would want to buy another Fitbit product when they can't fix what THEY broke. I keep hoping they will send out another update that will fix the problem but thar is probably very unlikely.  Hopefully yours is still under warranty.

Any idea when the update is supposed to be finished?

My fitbit versa 2 screen turned black but the power is still on. It's been 2 days since the problem occured. There has been no change and i've tried all the "suggested" fix. How should I proceed forward (except throwing it in the trash)

sorry, but I had to throw mine away, I used it for a while even though I couldnt swipe because it was still counting my steps and I could still see the time. then even that wasnt working. Luckily someone had given me another one so I am using it now, but I will not be buying from fitbit if the watch cant even last 2 years.

I would like the contact info to push this further. This is not an isolated incident. Mine started after the most recent update in May. And conveniently after the release of the Versa 3. I did all the troubleshooting before I contacted support chat. Guess what, out of warranty and nothing they can do but offer 35% discount. Unfortunately I’m not falling for it again. This will be my 4th watch in 6 years and can’t afford to keep investing in a $150 watch that malfunctions due to no error of mine. I tried replying to the discount email and guess what they closed the case in less than a week. Beyond frustrated in Fitbit and have now lost a customer.

Wish I could help you but I didn't even talk to support. I had seen enough
posts similar to mine to make it clear it was not going to be fixed. I also
noticed the timing of the problem being curious...right after the Versa 3
had been released.
I had purchased mine through Amazon and had purchased a 2 year extended
warranty. It was no problem to get my money back and purchase a Samsung
Galaxy 4 watch. I do not like it as well as the Versa 2 but it does work.
The user interface app is awful.
Good luck with your quest.

I swore I wasn't going to do it but I used the coupon Fitbit gave me and
got a Luxe since it was quite a bit cheaper than the Versa. I don't like
it nearly as much as the Versa but it serves its purpose I guess. I was
really close to getting a Galaxy watch but felt like they were way too big
for my wrist. Here's to hoping the Luxe will last longer than a year.

Good luck with your Galaxy watch.
