Versa 2 serial number, on the fitbit

I'm told there's no way of finding the Fitbit Versa 2 serial number on the fitbit itself, only on the box. I need to prove the fitbit is mine to wear at work, can anyone help please?

Hi @28lyonc  there is no way to give a serial number when you don't have the box. Is it possible for you to somehow engrave the back of the Fitbit pebble so that your work knows it is yours?

@28lyonc   You can "find" your Versa 2 serial number on your web dashboard, but you need to know how to break the code.

• Log in to your web dashboard at fitbit.com and log in with your email/password
• Tap/click on the gear icon tin the upper right, then Versa 2 in the dropdown
• Now you are on your Versa 2 Settings page
• When you look at the URL, it will end with ...setting/device/tracker/(a series of 12 letters and numbers)
• Those 12 letters/numbers are your serial number in code
• Write them down and write the following letters beneath each number/letter: KLIJGHEFCDAB
• put in ABC order and that's your serial number

I don't know if this is enough "proof" or not, but it's all I got.  For the life of me, I don't understand why the serial number isn't given in the Settings app on the device.

Thanks very much, I need something to show on the settings. I have found a CMIIT ID, I could try that. Unfortunately, Fitbit help couldn't help me.

A CMIIT ID is a China Ministry of Industry and Information Technology ID number.  It's the Chinese equivalent of the FCC.  Sorry, but this won't help you.
